Membership in ASG is still a fantastic bargain however - simply using the discounts available through our many retail supporters will more than make up the cost of membership over the course of a year.

The ASG National website provides you links to on-line retailers who offer discounts; there are opportunities to place group orders through ASG for deep discounts (anyone who ordered a Threads DVD this last fall recouped the cost of two years membership). You can connect with sewing friends across the nation. And don't forget about the annual national convention.

You also get a local chapter that is vital and active and growing with nearly 120 members, 6 neighborhood groups, and 2 special interest groups.  Our neighborhood groups are the life blood of ASG.  Just imagine not having your neighborhood group to go to every month.

Plus you get special chapter events each year like the bra workshop that drew participants from Colorado, Chattanooga, Jacksonville and Titusville. You get our very own, very spectacular newsletter that comes out 4 times a year, and a drop-dead gorgeous chapter website!

We have relationships with local retailers, some of whom offer discounts and often give us great door prizes for our events. And as a chapter and in our neighborhood groups, we support our local and international communities through charity sewing.

And even if you don't renew at the old price, and renew later at the new slightly higher price (the first dues increase ASG has had in nearly a decade!), you're still getting one fantastic deal for $3.75 a month. (Yes, that's how much you'll pay for your ASG membership at the new price, versus $2.91 at the old rate – a difference of 84¢ a month.)
