Neighborhood Group Leaders' Mission Statement:

Neighborhood Group Leader (NGL) Meeting Notice:
Our neighborhood group leaders are a valuable source of information, and we've found that getting everyone together sparks ideas for meeting programs, problem solving, and so much more.
We will meet the fourth Friday of January, April, August, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A phone conference in October. Meetings will be held in a central location.
Community Service Report:
Use the form provided to report this information quarterly (the end of March, June, September, and December) to Obie Williams. Collect this info from your neighborhood group members monthly to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Compile the totals and send in your report to Obie quarterly.
ASG Ocala wants your members' suggestions for a community service organization that serves our area to which we can contribute. Solicit ideas for a community service project / organization from your neighborhood group members at your next meeting, and send them to the group coodinator. She'll bring everyone's ideas to the next CAB meeting, and one will be selected.
ASG Ocala Chapter Community Service Project:
Ocala Chapter is looking for suggestions on a service organization serving our area to which we can donate.
Remember our sponsors!!!!
They are loyal to us, and support ASG Ocala by advertising in our newsletter, giving meeting space to neighborhood groups, donating door prizes, and much more. Let's be loyal in return. If we don't support them, they won't be there to support our needs.

Helpful Hints:
A reminder about your neighborhood group meetings should be sent to all members 10 days in advance. Be sure any members not on e-mail receive a phone call. Your announcement should include meeting start time and, if needed, a supply list for any projects to be done that day. A prepared agenda will help you keep the business meeting organized and running smoothly. I like to use the Robert's Rules of Order as a format; it's universal and well known. It includes an opening, president, secretary, treasurer reports, committee reports (membership, sunshine, events, community service projects), old business, new business, next meeting date, and closing. Then open the meeting for show-and-tell, speaker, program and projects.
Another part of good organization is delegating responsibilities. Everyone likes to feel needed and to be part of the meeting. For example, ask your newest member to be responsible for name tags and the sign-in sheet. She will get to know everyone, they will get to know her. And the best part of delegating is that it builds future leadership.
